This specimen was lot 23437 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $1,468.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 25 Cents 1883-H, MS63 ICCS, flashy lustrous surfaces with just a hint of toning in the legends, scarce date in mint state. From The Nikita Collection." The type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901. Despite the ample mintage, this date is rather scarce.

Recorded mintage: 960,000.

Specification: 5.81 g, 0.925 fine silver, .173 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
