Steve Album sale 54, lot 2368

This specimen was lot 2368 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "BURGAU: Maria Theresa, 1740-1780, AR 10 kreuzer, 1775, mintmaster initials SF, VF. The Margraviate of Burgau existed from 1212 to 1805 when by the Peace of Pressburg, Napoléon forced a defeated Emperor Francis II to cede Further Austria to French allies on his abdication and the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire, with Burgau passing to the new kingdom of Bavaria." This type was struck 1772-77 along with a five kreuzer, twenty kreuzer and one thaler. One convention thaler was 120 kreuzer.
