This specimen was lot 22226 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "BULGARIA. 10000 Leva, 1994. PCGS PROOF-69 DEEP CAMEO Secure Holder. St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral commemorative. Possessing hard mirrored fields with frosted devices and no unsightly blemishes." This NCLT was struck using the same module as the 5000 leva (KM 207) of 1993.
Recorded mintage: 30,000 proofs.
Specification: 8.64 g, 0.900 fine gold, .248 troy oz AGW.
