Steve Album sale 54, lot 2417

This specimen was lot 2417 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "BULGARIA: Republic, AR 10,000 leva, 1998, 120 Anniversary of Liberation, an extraordinary example, PCGS graded PF69 Deep Cameo." Another 10,000 leva of 1998 promoted the unification of Europe (KM 235). In 1999, the lev was reformed (1000 old leva = one new lav) and in 2026, the lev was dropped for the euro.

Recorded mintage: 15,000.

Specification: 23.33 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.61 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by Kancho Avramov and Stefan Nenov.
