This specimen was lot 73502 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1709. Zellerfeld Mint; mm: three stars. Anton Ulrich. PCGS AU-53. This coin is a delight to behold with a perfect pairing of argent and champagne color, vivid detail, light wear, and a solid strike. A charming and desirable example of the type. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." Anton Ulrich ruled alone after his brother's death in 1704; this type was struck 1705-14.
