This specimen was lot 74450 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Wolfenbuttel. Taler, 1657-HS. Zellerfeld Mint. August "the Younger". PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Despite the noted cleaning, a lightly handled crown with some alluring toning that is beginning to take hold. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1655-65 and is fairly common. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel is famous for its long series of wild man thalers.
