The first specimen was lot 2609 in Sincona sale 57 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,190 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND | Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, Herzogtum, Heinrich Julius, 1589-1613. Taler 1595, Goslar. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich. Herrliche Patina. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Henry Julius, 1589-1613, thaler of 1595, Goslar mint. Very rare in this condition, Extremely fine, Most attractive patina.)"

The second specimen was lot 55414 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[2] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Wolfenbuttel. Taler, 1598. Goslar Mint. Heinrich Julius. Very Fine Details -- Environmental Damage, Cleaned. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection. Ex: Superior Stamp & Coin Walter Lee Crouch Collection Auction, Lot 2176 (1977)." This type was struck 1594-95.
