This specimen was lot 73184 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Wolfenbuttel. Taler, "67" (1567). Goslar Mint. Heinrich "the Younger". PCGS VF-35. Evenly handled yet nevertheless entirely original, this attractively toned "wildman" crown offers a great overall look and stands as a remarkable survivor. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was issued 1557-68 and is fairly common for the period.
