Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg 1685 2 mariengroschen
This specimen was lot 73557 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Calenberg. 2 Mariengroschen, 1685. Zellerfeld Mint. Ernst August. PCGS AU-58. An argent example with hints of gold and russet at the peripheries. A charming, problem-free coin. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." Per the SCWC, this type was struck 1680-84 and 1688-90. This denomination was also struck with a leaping stallion reverse (KM 276) but that coin has mintmaster's initials HB. Starting in 1689, a two mariengroschen with a monogram obverse (KM 336, KM 362) was added to the mix.
