This specimen was lot 595 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €550 (about US$741 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM Wilhelm, 1603-1642. 1/4 Reichstaler o. J. (1622-1626), Moisburg. Variante mit spitzem Wappenschild auf der Rückseite. Von großer Seltenheit. Fast sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Harburg, William, 1603-42, undated quarter thaler, Moisburg mint, with pointed shield on reverse. Very rare, about very fine.)"
Duke Wilhelm was the last ruler of Brunswick-Harburg which reverted to Brunswick-Luneburg-Celle on his death. This denomination is noted for 1622-27 and 1630-31 and undated. It has a very high catalog value for an obscure German minor.
