This specimen was lot 55269 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Brittany. Blanc, ND (1458-88). Rennes Mint. Francis II. PCGS EF-45." The mintmark "R" is at the top of the obverse next to the cross. This type was also struck at Nantes (Roberts-6141). The duke's heiress, Anne, also struck blancs, altho of reduced weight.
