Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 76206

This specimen was lot 76206 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH HONDURAS. 25 Cents, 1919. London Mint. George V. PCGS MS-64. A pleasing near-Gem example with multicolored toning and an abundance of underlying luster. The second highest graded example at PCGS." This scarce type was also issued in 1911. The next twenty-five cents was issued in 1952, by which time the silver denominations had been converted to copper-nickel. British Honduras is today Belize.

Recorded mintage: 40,000.

Specification: 5.81 g, 0.925 fine silver, 23.2 mm diameter.
