This specimen was lot 75015 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bremen. 36 Grote (1/2 Taler), 1859. PCGS AU-58." The city of Bremen struck two different designs for this denomination in 1859; KM 233 has round arms on the obverse. This design was used again in 1864.
Recorded mintage: 121 458 of KM 233 plus 50,000 of KM 243.
Specification: 8.77 g, 0.986 fine silver, 29.7 mm diameter, lettered edge.
