Copper-nickel 100 réis of the United States of Brazil. This is the regular issue, struck 1918-35. Commemorative 100 réis were issued in the 1930's which, not surprisingly, are much easier to find in nice condition than this type. The 100 réis gradually shrank (KM 503, KM 518, KM 527, KM 536 and KM 544) until its abolition in 1942 with the reform of the coinage in that year.
