This specimen was lot 12026 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $969. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRAZIL. 6,400 Reis, 1792-R. PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, AU Details Secure Holder. Ex: Huntington Collection." The type was struck in Brazil 1789-1805 and is the most common of the denomination.
Recorded mintage: 230,000.
