This specimen was lot 74525 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $89. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brandenburg. 1/12 Taler, 1693-ICS. Magdeburg Mint. Friedrich III. PCGS AU-50. From the Collection of Kazmier Wysocki, former mayor of Hackensack, New Jersey." This type was struck 1692-93 with initials ICS (Johann Christoph Seehle, mintmaster in Magdeburg, 1690-1698) and 1698-1700 with initials HFH. Another issue of this denomination in 1693 (KM 571) had crowned arms on the obverse and the value in a circle on the reverse.
