Sincona sale 100, lot 1024

This specimen was lot 1024 in Sincona Auction 100 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 25,000 CHF (about US$37,680 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Brandenburg-Preussen, Markgrafschaft, 1417 Kurfürstentum, 1701 Königreich. Friedrich Wilhelm, 1640-1688. Dukat 1663, Königsberg. Münzmeister Hans Müller. +FRID•WILH•D•G•M•B•S•R•I•A•C•&•E•D•PRUS: Geharnischtes Brustbild nach rechts mit umgelegtem Ordensband. Rv. MON:NOVA•AUREA•DUC•PRUSS• Mit Kurhut bedecktes, neunfeldiges Wappen, zu den Seiten die geteilte Jahreszahl 16 - 63, unten die Münzmeistersignatur H. M. Äusserst selten. NGC MS63*. Prachtexemplar mit feinem Prägeglanz. Exemplar der Slg. Köhlmoos, Auktion Künker 370, Osnabrück, Juni 2022, Los 1058. Exemplar der Auktion Künker 271, Berlin, Januar 2016, Los 34. This type is listed for 1661-63 but is rare like most gold issues of Brandenburg.
