Brandenburg 1666 ducat Fr-2259
This specimen was lot 179 in Sincona sale 54 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 8,000 CHF (about US$9,520 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Brandenburg / Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm, 1640-1688. Dukat 1666, Königsberg. Sehr selten. Vorzügliches Exemplar mit Prägeglanz. Schrötlingsfehler. (Germany, electorate of Brandenburg, Frederick William, 1640-88, ducat of 1666, Königsberg mint. Very rare, Extremely fine specimen with mint lustre, Flan defect.)"
This type was struck 1664-67, simultaneously with KM A366 and KM 325, which were struck at the Berlin mint.
