Sincona sale 73, lot 1121

This specimen was lot 1121 in Sincona sale 73 (Zürich, November 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND | Brandenburg / Prussia. Taler 1627, Königsberg. Spruchtaler. Vorzüglich. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung mit feiner Patina. (Germany, electorate of Brandenburg, thaler of 1627, mint. Extremely fine, Extraordinary condition with nice patina.)"

This type of 1627-35 is rare and expensive even by the standard of this state, whose thalers prior to Frederick the Great are generally rare. A half thaler (KM 124.1) also exists.
