Brandenburg-Bayreuth 1752-CLR 1/24 thaler KM-211
This specimen was lot 2917 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRANDENBURG-BAYREUTH: Friedrich III, 1735-1763, AR 1/24 thaler, 1752, mintmaster initials CLR, a wonderful lustrous mint state example, PCGS graded MS64, ex Joe Sedillot Collection. Finest graded 'top pop' by PCGS!" This type was struck 1752-53 along with another groschen bearing the margrave's bust (KM 210). One thaler was 24 groschen. The line lapsed in 1769 and the successors sold the provinces to Prussia in 1791, who in turn yielded them to Bavaria in 1806 as part of Napoleon's mediatization.
