Kunker sale 293, lot 274

This specimen was lot 274 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €575 (about US$775 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG IN FRANKEN. Christian Friedrich Karl Alexander, 1757-1791. 2 Kreuzer (1/2 Batzen) 1760, Schwabach. Slg. Grüber (Auktion Künker 267) 4632. Von großer Seltenheit. Sehr schön +. (margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach, Christian Frederick Charles Alexander, 1757-91, two kreuzer (half batzen) of 1760, Schwabach mint. Of great rarity, very fine or better.)"

This is the only issue of this denomination from this state. The batzen was more frequently seen in Switzerland.
