This specimen was lot 878 in Jean Elsen sale 164 (Brussels, March 2026), where it sold for €2,200 (about US$3,063 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Albert et Isabelle (1598-1621), AV double albertin, 1601, Bruxelles. Différent: B en fin de légende au revers. D/ Écu couronné, entouré du collier de la Toison d'or. R/ Croix de Bourgogne accostée de la date, sous une couronne, ornée du bijou de la Toison d'or. Extrêmement rare. presque Superbe. Provient de notre vente 147, 4 juin 2021, 911. (duchy of Brabant, Albert and Isabella, 1598-1621, double albertin of 1601, Brussels mint, "B" at the end of the reverse legend. Obverse: crowned arms, Order chain around; reverse: Burgundian cross divides the date, under a crown, adorned with the jewel of the Golden Fleece. Extremely rare, about Extremely Fine.)"

This type is recorded for 1600-09 as part of a coinage reform which eventually failed. Of the three mints that struck this type in Brabant, Antwerp (hand mintmark) is the most common. The albertin was replaced by the souverain d'or in 1612.
