This specimen was lot 40058 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA. 250 Marka, 1998. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. A SCARCE commemorative issue honoring the late Princess Diana of Wales, this nearly flawless Gem shimmers with great brilliance and offers an alluring frosting to the devices." Bosnia is one of the fragments of the former Yugoslavia and has the misfortune of being the most heavily fought over. Most of her coinage is comprised of NCLT's, many struck and sold by the Pobjoy mint. This one honors princess Diana, who spent time there promoting the clearance of land mines. Ten, twenty, fifty and 100 marka were issued with this theme.
