Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 76191
SB1125-76191r.jpg

This specimen was lot 76191 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. 10 Centavos, 1900-PTS MM. Potosi Mint. ICG MS-64." This type of 1885-95, 1899-1900 superseded a very similar type of 1872-83 (KM 158.2) with the addition of a horizontal bar between "CENTs" and "9 D FINO." This is a common date of a common type, despite the small mintage. After 1900, the silver five and ten centavos were discontinued in favor of base metal issues.

Recorded mintage: 30,000.

Specification: 2.3 g, 0.900 fine silver.

Catalog reference: KM-158.3.
