Bolivia 1900-PTS MM 10 centavos

Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 76191

This specimen was lot 76191 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description^[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. 10 Centavos, 1900-PTS MM. Potosi Mint. ICG MS-64." This type of 1885-95, 1899-1900 superseded a very similar type of 1872-83 (KM 158.2) with the addition of a horizontal bar between "CENTs" and "9 D FINO." This is a common date of a common type, despite the small mintage. After 1900, the silver five and ten centavos were discontinued in favor of base metal issues.
