Bolivia 1900-So 50 centavos

This specimen was lot 1270 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $145.20. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Republic. 1825-present. AR 50 Centavos. Santiago mint. Dated 1900 So. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65. Superb brilliant uncirculated. Finest of two graded. Purchased from M. Louis Teller, August 1971." This half boliviano was minted under contract in Santiago, Chile. No other date or denomination was ordered from this mint, making this a slightly better type, despite the large mintage.
