Bolivia 1861-PTS FJ sol

formerly in the Mountain Groan Collection

This one sol, which restored the fineness to 903 thousandths, was struck at Potosi for Bolivia 1860-63. When the eight soles was reduced from 27 g to 20 g in 1859, all the minor coinage shrank proportionately.
