This specimen was lot 1923 in Sedwick Auction 36 (Winter Park, FL, November 2024), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 1 real, 1760/59 q, ex-Mastalir. Fine+ with clear overdate (scarce) between pillars, complete cross with light sedimentation on fields. Pedigreed to the Roberto Mastalir Collection." This type was struck 1748-60 for Ferdinand VI with assayer "q" operating all of those years. The change to assayer "V" coincided with the proclamation of the new king, Charles III.
