Sincona sale 34, lot 4217

This specimen was lot 4217 in Sincona sale 34 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 1,850 CHF (about US$2,196 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Ferdinand III. 1637-1657 Taler 1638. Kuttenberg Münzmeister Daniel Kavka. Sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand III, 1637-57, thaler of 1638, Kuttenberg mint, mintmaster Daniel Kavka. Very fine.)"

This type is accompanied by a double thaler (Dav-3211).
