Künker sale 406, lot 3819

This specimen was lot 3819 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €9,000 (about US$11,809 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Matthias, 1608-1612-1619. Dukat 1615, Prag. Münzmeister Benedikt Huebmer. GOLD. RR Rand und Felder leicht überarbeitet, sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Matthias, 1612-19, ducat of 1615, Prague mint. Very rare, edge and fields tooled, very fine.)"

This type was struck 1613-19 and is normally encountered in worn condition.
