This specimen was lot 40392 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,610. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Bern. Duplon, 1819. NGC Unc Details--Scratches. Small scratch on obverse field. Demarete Collection." This type was issued 1797, 1819 and 1829 and is rare. The last Bernese coin is a rappen dated 1836.
Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.
