This specimen was lot 3155 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1,255 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, 20 Kreuzer 1776, Bern. Vorzüglich-FDC. Hübsche Patina. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, twenty kreuzer of 1776, Bern mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated, Attractively toned.)"
This is a late date of a type struck 1758-59, 1764, 1776-77, 1787. Twenty kreuzer was one-sixth of a convention thaler but later equal to four batzen or 1/10 thaler.
