This specimen was lot 5112 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 3,250 CHF (about US$ including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, Vierer 1764, Bern. Von grösster Seltenheit. Schön-sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Bern, half kreuzer of 1764, Bern mint. Of the highest rarity, Fine-Very Fine.)"
This type was struck in billon 1762-66, 1769-71, 1774-81, 1785-97. The SCWC claims the 1764 is unique; the other dates are fairly common. Some dates are known struck in gold.
