This specimen was lot 1336 in Jean Elsen sale 144 (Brussels, March 2020), where it sold for €630 (about US$830 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Albert II (1993-2013), AV 100 euro, 2006. 175e anniversaire de la Dynastie. Flan poli. (kingdom of Belgium, Albert II, 1993-2013, gold hundred euro of 2006, 175th anniversary of the dynasty. Proof.)"
This NCLT honors the 175th anniversary of the dynasty which has ruled Belgium since its founding in 1832 by Leopold I. Other half ounce commemoratives were issued in this format 2002-14.
Recorded mintage: 5,000.
Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.50 troy oz AGW, 29 mm diameter.
