This specimen was lot 786 in Jean Elsen sale 122 (Brussels, September 2014), where it sold for €750 (about US$1,149 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Baudouin (1951-1993), AR 20 francs, 1955 FR, Très Rare. Superbe. (kingdom of Belgium, Baldwin I (1951-93), silver twenty francs of 1955, French legends, very rare, extremely fine.)"
This type was issued 1949-55 with French and Flemish legends and is common except for the 1955. A similar fifty francs (KM 136 and KM 137) also exists.
Recorded mintage: 1,730,000.
Specification: 8 g, 0.835 fine silver.
