This coin, one of a type struck 1886 and 1898-99 during the reign of Leopold III of Belgium (1865-1909), was struck with Walloons (dialect of French) and Flemish (dialect of Dutch) legends. The Flemish legend type is shown here; it is not rare, tho expensive in nice condition.
Recorded mintage: 501,000 plus 499,000 with French legends (KM 26).
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.835 fine silver.
