This specimen was lot 72143 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $204. The catalog description^[1] noted, "BELGIUM. 10 Centimes, 1898. Leopold II. NGC MS-67+. The single finest certified of the type on the NGC population report. A spectacular representative of the type with attractive light patina." This type was struck in large quantities 1894-95, 1898 and 1901 using French legends (shown here) and Flemish legends (KM 43).

Recorded mintage: 3,499,000.
