This specimen was lot 1072 in Jean Elsen sale 118 (Brussels, September 2013), where it sold for €75 (about US$118 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), Cu 2 centimes, 1836, BRAEMT F sans point. Surfrappé sur 1 cent néerlandais. Petites taches. Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I (1831-65), copper two centimes of 1836, signed BRAEMT F without dot. Struck over a Dutch one centime. Light marks, uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1833-65 at the Brussels mint in numerous varieties; despite the enormous mintage, this date is scarce in nice condition.
