This specimen was lot 1135 in Jean Elsen sale 135 (Brussels, December 2017), where it sold for €270 (about US$374 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), Cu 1 centime, 1836. Surfrappé sur un 1/2 cent néerlandais. Coup sur la tranche. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I, 1831-65, copper one centime of 1836, struck over a Dutch half cent. Rim bump, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1835-63, some over Dutch half cents. The overdate shown here, 1836/2, earns a slight premium.
