This specimen was lot 70677 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bavaria. 10 Mark, 1877-D. Munich Mint. Ludwig II. NGC EF-45. Gentle, consistent, honest circulation, bright honey-gold surfaces, and ample retained detail make for a pleasurable viewing experience." King Ludwig II ruled until 1886, when he was deposed in favor of his brother. Disliked for his extravagance and his homosexuality, he died soon after under very mysterious circumstances. This type, struck 1874-81, is common.
