This specimen was lot 2242 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "BAVARIA: Ludwig I, 1825-1848, AR 6 kreuzer, 1848, a stunning example with a shimmering prooflike obverse, NGC graded MS66. Tied with one other piece for top pop at NGC." This type was struck 1839-56. Six kreuzer were struck until 1867.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.
