Bavaria 1774 1/2 thaler
This specimen was lot 1303 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$390 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GERMANY, Bavaria, Maximilian III. Joseph, 1745-1777. 1/2 Konventionstaler 1774, München. Gutes vorzüglich. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian III Joseph, 1745-77, half convention thaler of 1774, Munich mint. Good extremely fine, Extraordinary condition.)"
This type is listed from Munich (shown here) for 1753-54, 1759-62, 1765, 1768-77 and Amberg (KM 530) for 1763-64, 1768 and 1774. It is priced quite a bit higher than the accompanying thaler (Dav-1953).
