This specimen was lot 22349 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $152.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bavaria. Taler, 1767-A. Maximilian III Josef (1745-77). NGC AU-53. Toned." This type is noted for 1763, 1767 and 1768 and is rather scarcer than the common Dav-1953 with the Madonna reverse.
Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.
Specification: 3.32 g, 0.900 fine gold, .096 troy oz AGW.
