This specimen was lot 3540 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €550 (about US$720 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BAYERN, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH: Maximilian III. Joseph, 1745-1777. Maximilian III. Joseph, 1745-1777. 4 Groschen (12 Kreuzer) 1766, München. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Kl. Schrötlingsfehler, vorzüglich +. Exemplar der Auktion Heidelberger Münzhandlung, Herbert Grün 36, Heidelberg 2002, Nr. 5952. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian III Joseph, 1745-77, four groschen or twelve kreuzer of 1766, Munich mint. Very scarce in this condition, light adjustment marks, extremely fine or better.)"
