This denomination, roughly equal to one fourth thaler, was struck in in Bavaria in various types 1715-56. This type was struck 1715-19. Maximilian II Emanuel was duke and elector of Bavaria 1679-1726 and was deposed more than once by the Austrians. The lion on the reverse supports the arms of Bavaria.

Recorded mintage: unknown but probably fairly scarce.
