This specimen was lot 3481 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €120 (about US$157 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BAYERN, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH: Maximilian II. Emanuel, 1679-1726. 3 Kreuzer (Groschen) 1698, München. Vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Heidelberger Münzhandlung, Herbert Grün 36, Heidelberg 2002, Nr. 5382. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian II, 1679-1726, three kreuzer or groschen of 1698, Munich mint. Extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1695-98. It was the smallest silver denomination.
