This specimen was lot 1757 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €5,500 (about US$7,654 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BAYERN, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, Maximilian II. Emanuel, 1679-1726. 2 Dukaten 1699, München. Präsent der bayerischen Landstände zur Geburt des Prinzen Ferdinand Maria. GOLD. RR Leicht gewellt, vorzüglich +, Erworben 1955 bei der Firma Julius Jenke, München. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emanuel, 1679-1726, double ducat of 1699, Munich mint. Presented by the Bavarian estates on the birth of prince Ferdinand Maria. Rare, slightly wavy, extremely fine or better.)"
Ferdinand Maria was the second son of the elector and never succeeded to the title. He became a field marshal in the Austrian service and died in 1738.
