This specimen was lot 1238 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 850 (about US$1,120 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Madonnentaler 1618. Vorzüglich-sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Bavaria, Madonna thaler of 1618, extremely fine to very fine.)"
This type is recorded for 1618 only and is listed as rather scarce. A plethora of similar designs (arms obverse, Madonna and Child reverse) were issued in the 1620's.
