Basel 1726-H 6 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 5075 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$211 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Basel, Bistum Basel Johann Konrad II. von Reinach-Hirzbach, 1705-1737. 6 Kreuzer 1726, Pruntrut. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, bishopric of Basel, John Conrad II of Reinach-Hirzbach, 1705-37, six kreuzer of 1726, Pruntrut mint. Good Very Fine.)"
The bishops of Basel were expelled from the town during the Reformation. He resided in Pruntrut and normally issued coins from there. This type was struck 1726 only and is quite scarce.
