This specimen was lot 2251 in Goldberg sale 100 (Los Angeles, September 2017), where it sold for $246.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bahamas. 100 Dollars, 1991. Elizabeth II. Reverse: Discovery of New World. Choice Brilliant Proof." This module was used to strike various commemoratives 1981-92. Columbus's discovery is the main historical event to have occurred in the Bahamas, which is why he is honored on KM 111, KM 112, KM 116, KM 119, KM 121, KM 125, KM 126, KM 130, KM 131, KM 135, KM 151 (shown here), KM 175 in gold and KM 107, KM 110, KM 120, KM 123, KM 124, KM 129, KM 132, KM 133, KM 134, KM 139, KM 153, KM 196, KM 197 in silver.

Recorded mintage: 500 + an unknown number of proofs.

Specification: 6.48 g, 0.900 fine gold.
