Steve Album sale 54, lot 2499

This specimen was lot 2499 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "BADEN: Leopold I, 1830-1852, AE kreuzer, 1852, a superb lustrous example! NGC graded MS65 BN." This type was struck in substantial quantities 1847-52, superseding a similar kreuzer (KM 218.1) without a dot after BADEN. One gulden was sixty kreuzer.

Recorded mintage: 820,880.

Specification: 3.8 g, copper, 21.5 mm diameter, engraved by Carl Friedrich Voigt.
